El Poder de la Disciplina

Tener un objetivo claro, la humildad y la disciplina... los principios que lo llevaron a convertirse en el máximo goleador del seleccionado argentino de fútbol, y a enfrentarse al éxito, ese concepto tan lejano que deshumaniza.


Elementos simples pero fundamentales:

  1. Tener un objetivo claro.
  2. Humildad.
    1. Escuchando desde la humildad siempre se puede rescatar algo.
    2. Un técnico lo condicionó a motilarse para jugar en el equipo. Dejó el ego a un lado, le pareció más importante participar en el equipo que su corte.
    3. La Roma en el proceso de compra de Batistuta le ofreció muchas cosas, entre ellas la camiseta número nueve y ser capitán. De nuevo aplicó la humildad y le dejo la capitanía a Totti y la camiseta nueve a Montela. El campeonato era más importante que una cinta o un número.
    4. Varias de estas decisiones le cambiaron la carrera.

  1. Disciplina.
    1. Estuvo en la Newells entrenando y estudiando. Luego de año y medio obtuvo el primer contrato. Trabajo duro y dedicación.
    2. En esa época solo el 1% alcanzaba el éxito como futbolista.
    3. Toda la carrera sufrió de dolor en el tobillo. A pesar de esto seguía, no permitió dejarse vencer por este daño ni por la sensación de fracaso.
    4. Renunció a entretenerse con las distracciones del éxito y la fama.
    5. Esto es disciplina. Disciplina mental para seguir el objetivo, disciplina física para entrenarse a pesar del dolor de tobillo.
